Amanita, the Fungal Warden:
Amanita is a character created for my Senior Capstone class at Pace University, Project Studio. In order to bring her to life I spent time researching and carefully crafting her and her mushroom themed companion. Amanita and her fungi are inspired by real life fungi and contain elements of them in their design.
Pellar, The Feathered Explorer
Pellar is an archaeologist bird who tasks himself with learning about the gods of old time, yet he does not realize how special he really is himself.
To make this character design I spent time combining a Shoebill Stork with various iconic mythological creatures. Eventually, for the final design combining the Stork imagery with the Quetzalcoatl.
